Summary
And maybe Akaashi was already dead, squeezed in between the backrest of the couch and Bokuto’s entire body. Deliriously, Bokuto patted around for the edge of the blanket, and tugged it so it was once again covering them both, leaving his arm settled on top of Akaashi’s chest. Then, like the last nail in the coffin, he swung his leg over Akaashi’s waist.
So this was Akaashi’s final resting place.
Bokuto’s version of physical affection can oftentimes be a physical pain, but Akaashi can never move away first.

Back then, Akaashi used to cry after a game if he couldn't play how he wanted to, or if he got less than 90 on two tests in a row, or while watching the Olympics opening ceremony on TV. Nowadays, he buys his own furniture, shaves every two days, and cries over grown-up things like elderly relatives passing away or his job overworking him.

Akaashi, mature soul that he is, has a rule that Bokuto should only stay over a maximum of 3 nights a week, so that they have the time and space to continue growing as people and not accidentally meld into one indistinguishable blob as many couples do. But a couple months into their relationship, Akaashi finds that he can't stick to his words nearly as well as he'd like to.
