Summary
Buffy has one summer to prove she’s in a committed relationship if she wants to receive her inheritance from her extremely wealthy, slightly eccentric grandmother,
Daphne Carrington.
With no one else to turn to, she strikes a deal with Spike — he’ll pretend to be her boyfriend, and in return, she’ll give him exactly what he wants.
What begins as a simple charade quickly grows complicated as they spend more time together, and the lines between what’s real and what’s fake begin to blur. As secrets surface and feelings deepen, Buffy must decide if she can keep up the act—or if their pretend romance has become something much more. Set against a backdrop of nosy relatives, beach sunsets, and increasingly unconvincing denials.
