Summary
It all began with a too-quiet Sunday morning, and within the week evolved into a hair-raising chase from Cumbria back to Surrey.
Harry Potter certainly never bargained for a relocation at the tender age of eight, nor to find himself under the custodianship of a curmudgeonly twenty-eight-year-old rock aficionado named Severus Snape.
Less parent than partner in crime, Snape at times seems as likely to tacitly encourage Harry's mischief as he is to take him to task over it. Perhaps, at that, a father-figure isn't in the cards...
Perhaps, just perhaps, Harry would be better served by a different sort of role model entirely.

Summary
Set during the summer after Harry's Fifth Year. The fifteen-year-old is struggling to cope with his godfather's recent death, ridden with guilt, shame, remorse, and much internal conflict, depression looming on the horizon. The Dursleys aren't helping things either. Things take a sudden twist for the worse when the Blood Wards around Privet Drive fall, rendering Harry unsafe. What's the solution? Dumbledore arranges for Harry to stay with his most hated person after Voldemort and Umbridge: Severus Snape. In isolation. For two weeks. It goes without saying that neither wizard is pleased, and their feelings of mutual hatred are much reciprocated. And with a ticking sleep-deprived Gryffindor time-bomb, that right there is a recipe for a dangerous concoction.
Angst, hurt/comfort, emphasis on psychology and character developement. Super slice-of-life kind of story where every chapter is one day of the two weeks our two favorite characters have to spend in isolation. And the chapters are LONG. Panic attacks, stress, anxiety all based off of personal experiences. Written in third-person omniscient. Heavy emphasis on internal conflict, feelings, emotions, and learning to cope with life's shit.

T.M. Riddle and the new Headmistress, Minerva McGonagall, try to shore up Hogwarts' defences, in a last-ditch attempt to stave off the darkness. But with a scattered Order and the Ministry cracking down on dissent, that's a tall order.
Harry Potter's not confident he'll make it to eighteen. For now, he'll try to lie low, piece together the information he's been left about the remaining Horcruxes, and fight back any way he can. Dumbledore's Army is rising.
The future speaks to Ruby Potter, and voices from beyond the Veil have joined in. If she can figure out how the hand needs to be played, she just might find the move that wins the game.

Meanwhile, the Ministry moves fast to maintain the illusion of peace, and Hogwarts soon finds itself embroiled in a power struggle over control of a single pawn (Harry Potter) as they wait for Lord Voldemort to make his first move. Sirius Black isn't the only Death Eater breaking out of prison.

Summary
An eight part series (I know...ambitious) chronicling the journey of a young and not mistreated Harry Potter from when he discovers his magical heritage at the tender age of seven, all the way through his years at Hogwarts. This work aims to portray the characters in a somewhat more realistic light, both the light, gray and dark ones, has a young and inquisitive child try to uncover knowledge of his ancestry and lineage while bumbling through this newly discovered aspect of his existence, and additionally attempts to de-mystify magic to a reasonable degree.
The story attempts to explore an alternate universe where Petunia had mended fences with her estranged sister before it was too late, and we ride on the slipstreams generated by that butterfly's wings to see how things might have turned out to be oh so very different from what we know to be our canon universe.
