Ch 1 revised!
From his earliest memories, Prince Jacaerys Velaryon was told by his mother and both his grandfathers that he would be King of the Seven Kingdoms. And for the first eight years of his life, he believed these promises without question. He had no reason to doubt them, or doubt his mother's love for him and his brothers.
Until he went to Driftmark for his Aunt Laena's funeral.
Jace was promised greatness from the moment he was born, but unfortunately, his mother’s new husband did not see him as such. Jace loved Egg and Vissy just as much as he did Luke and Joff, and he grew to love Rhaena, but his new half-siblings brought with them threats that his mother never believed.
Seeing history repeat itself, Jacaerys chooses to protect himself and his brothers' lives and their happiness at the cost of his crown, leading to choices which eventually guide him North and amongst wolves.
Jacaerys is born but never lives as a Strong, claimed as a Velaryon out of duty and love, lives his whole life promised to be a Targaryen, and in the end chooses to become a Stark. The outcome is surprisingly the best thing that could have happened to everyone.

Summary
Bilbo Took-Baggins and Nori of the Ri clan were married---platonically as they'd tell you---out of convenience many moons ago. Now, happily divorced and still best friends with his ex-husband, Bilbo decides he wants to help Nori on the quest to Erebor.
Bilbo is an ex-bounder, Nori spends half his time in the Shire, Thorin has tunnel vision, and the author doesn't know how to write summaries.

“And no healthy individual wants to learn how to sneak around and steal rich men's shittily-made coins, so I’d go as far as to say that you already weren’t right in the head.”
Bilbo finally pulls himself to his feet, planting them sturdily beneath him so he doesn’t start tripping around like a drunken Sackville in front of his new instructor.
“Keep talking like that and I’ll divorce you,” he tries to threaten, but it falls flat he infers from Nori’s near bellow of a laugh.“I think we’re going to get along fine, Master Baggins.”

Summary
Now Bilbo knew that the rest of the Shire considered him mad. The loss of his parents, his thirst for adventure, his fear of the snow, and his distaste for social interaction.
But nothing put the final nail in the coffin as when this fool of a took decided to take in 2 rambunctious dwarflings.
But the worst decision of all was getting attached. Or the best, who knows?
