Summary
“You germaphobic asshole! Dammit, I hate my life!”
Before he can act, or even think, you’ve risen to your feet, unlocked your door, and slammed it shut behind you, muffled sobs still sounding through the walls.

Summary
You sigh, shake the vial lightly in your hand, gaze at yourself, at your tired eyes and your messy hair, and you watch the reflection of the vial as the liquid slowly turns dark, blue like the deepest parts of the ocean or the night sky when the moon is missing.
No change. You’re still twenty-five, just like you were on your birthday last year. And the year before that. Just like you’ve been for the last hundred-something years.
Your face is completely neutral as you pour the liquid out in the sink, watching with bored eyes as the deep blue disappears down the drain. And then you go about your day. Nothing’s changed.

Summary
Connor possesses the ability to recreate a crime scene from scattered evidence, analyze biological traces in mere seconds, imitate the vocal characterizations of whomever he comes across, match the most skilled fighters in hand-to-hand combat...
But as he searched high and low, read thesis upon thesis, and stared into the glass pane of his desk wall with a furrowed brow, he found that there was something he couldn’t master. Something he couldn’t even begin to define.
So he kept a list of what he thought this malfunction (feeling) was.
And he tracked the events that caused all of this in the first place, taking note of the centralized cause in all of them:
You.
