Summary
Merlin and Leon meet privately for the first time after stopping Uther and Arthur from killing each other. And they keep coming together, finding one another in the quiet moments, the busy ones and as the dust settles, over and over again.

“Good evening, Merlin,” Sir Leon says, turning his gaze away from Merlin and to the city. “I wished to thank you myself for your actions earlier today.”
On instinct, Merlin throws a hand up to brush his words off. “Oh, no need, I was just doing my duty.”
“And that is what I find remarkable: in fact, it is not part of your duties as Prince Arthur’s manservant, and yet you do it anyway.”
Merlin has been trying to get a read on Sir Leon ever since the knight arrived back in Camelot. Sir Leon is generally respectful, no matter your station and is particularly kind with Gwen. If Merlin had less experience with knights and nobles, he might be convinced that Leon is an example of what knighthood should look like.
But instead, Merlin waits for the other shoe to drop, knowing Sir Leon cannot be as virtuous as he appears.

Summary
