“Why are you telling me this,” Shane means to ask, but it comes out too flat to sound even remotely like a question.
“Because I’m a very good friend. And I love my Ilyusha. And there is nothing to be jealous of,” she says, and Shane braces himself for the but. “But I want him to be taken care of.”

And Shane is a little baffled by the blunt, exasperated hurt he can still hear in his boyfriend’s voice. It’s being masked with a teasing playfulness, but Shane takes the fucking Ray Bans off and sees that it’s real. Ilya is genuinely upset that Shane is saying no to playing mermaids right now.

Summary
Dean shuts himself down in Purgatory, letting Benny fuck him out of some kind of survival, and expects that Sam will be ready to open him back up, coming to his rescue, as they usually do for each other.
When Dean makes his own way back topside only to find that Sam's been playing house with some random woman, seemingly paying their past together no mind at all, he shuts himself down even further.
Looks like Sam will have to once again get his shit together in order to fix things between them.

Summary
These stories are set in a canon-compliant universe where Dean was sexually abused by John, starting as an adolescent and continuing throughout his teenage years. When Sam finds out, he and Dean get entangled in a very messy, very emotional, very sam-and-dean love/horror story.
There's lots of triggering material here around victim blaming, underage and nonconsensual sex, grooming, and of course incest. I do not condone any of these things, and that should be obvious. Read responsibly.

He’s frowning down at his shoes when a sleepy, beautiful, rumpled Shane Hollander pulls open the door. God, he’s so pretty, Ilya thinks. His hair is sticking out in all directions and there’s a pink line across his cheeks where he must have been laying on his own arm. He’s only in his boxers. He gives Ilya a very sweet little smirk.
“You know where the spare key is,” he mumbles, voice rough with sleep. “Why didn’t you just use that?”
Ilya shrugs and lists to the side a bit. “Forgot. Did I wake you, baby? I’m sorry,” he’s still slurring a bit, he knows. And the ‘baby’ is a dead giveaway that he’s drunk. He hardly ever uses that pet name. Can’t resist right now.
This is his baby. His baby Shane. He loves him.
“You’re drunk,” Shane chuckles.
“Mmm,” Ilya muses. “Yes, very.”

After the absolute hell of the last few months, Ilya is struggling to stay big. He refuses to drop in front of people, and he hasn't had enough alone time to drop lately. The stress for his visit to Russia, playoffs, Shane and him both getting injured, everything feels like too much all the time.
But Ilya loves Shane, he knows that. He's optimistic that this trip to Shane's private cottage will solve all his problems. And it will, just not in the way he hopes.
