   Summary

   Frustrated with the lack of evidence in several grisly murder cases, the FBI recruits Shane Hollander, an exceptionally gifted homicide detective-turned-professor, to offer insight into their ongoing investigation.

   The problem with his uncanny ability to empathize with even the most horrific serial killers, however, is that it tends to make him unstable- so to prevent him from slipping, he's paired with the astute forensic psychiatrist Dr. Ilya Rozanov, who for some reason, immediately develops a strange interest in him.

   What Shane doesn't realize is that the suspect they've been searching for was in front of him all along- until it's already too late.
