What is more exciting is her after hours work as Hawkeye, which lands her in the middle of a war with the Maggia and their new leader, Madam Masque. Cue a conversation with Spider-Man which leads her to seek help from the office of a certain New Avenger she hasn't seen in four years.

    “Any ideas on how we can figure out more about the Maggia?” She’s not expecting him to have an actual answer, but he perks up beside her.
    “You know… I might. I have a contact who works with the CIA, it's possible she could see if they have something more recent.” He pauses for a moment, and she can hear excitement brightening his voice, “She helped with the whole, uh, destroying Damage Control thing. She’s a New Avenger.”
    Uh oh.
    “She can be a little… prickly? But she might be able to help us with this. It sounds like it could be big.”
    Double uh oh. Please don’t… or please do… say her name.

    “You’ve probably heard of her. She’s the new Black Widow. Her name’s Yelena.”

    "Yes," I nod without thought. In honesty I'm not as confident in that statement as I'd like, but we've done it before. I just have to hope she doesn't hate me so much we can't do it again.

    No matter my answer, it's clear Snow has no more confidence in my statement than I do, because he's leaning forward in his chair again. "Yes what?" He asks sternly.

    "I'll convince them."

    "No, Miss Everdeen," he says, "convince me."
