Once my emotions were stabilized enough, I had looked out over the room to see that during the fallout a lot of my friends had also resorted to supporting each other. Rebecca and Darren had their arms tightly wound each other and looked like they wouldn't let each other go anytime soon. Emily had both of Trevor's hands clutched tightly in her own. Penny, Kelesey and Thad had drifted together, talking quietly in a huddle and as I watched Thad pulled a hollow eyemoted Not-As-Cool Thad into the huddle. Lizzy had taken over looking after Joe, who, while still visibly shaken, seemed to be close to his normal demeanor again. Khan-henheim had actually approached his daughter, and they were now standing awkwardly next to each other. Judging from the nervous glances Khan-henheim kept sending towards my Dad, cuz and me, and then towards his daughter, I suspected he wanted to hug Alt-Me but didn't know how to go through with it even if his daughter allowed him.

ADIGTSMD was already peak fiction in the "reincarnated to another world with future knowledge and working to make it better" genre, this is the react fic version of peak. The way the cast from each differing canon in the multiverse interacting with each other is so well made.
