Summary
Shadow is a supervillain. He is Ultimate, one of the worst in the city. He deserves the death penalty before he deserves fondness and affection, but he gets exactly that when he indulges the vigilante Phantom, also known as Sonic.
He also doesn't deserve a family, but after one of the heroes kills Sonic, Shadow finds it impossible to abandon Tails, Sonic's remaining family.
And he definitely doesn't deserve a second chance to make things right, but the universe seems quite insistent on giving him what he doesn't deserve.

Also, fun fact, I used "elegy" instead of "eulogy" because a eulogy often celebrates the dead, sings praises for them. An elegy is a poem of LAMENT.

Summary
Seven months into Severus Snape's term as Headmaster perfects a potion to send his soul back five years so that he can change the war for the better. Once back, Severus decides that since Dumbledore's plans led to Voldemort taking over the Ministry and Harry fumbling around, he would create his own plan without Dumbledore's help. He takes over Harry's training and prepares Harry for the upcoming war while accidentally giving Harry the family he always craved.
Snape decides to begin the Horcrux hunt now, along with organizing allies to help stop Voldemort's return. He uses his skills as Britain's youngest potion master to change their fate by working with guilds, werewolves, the ICW, the Ministry, and goblins. Because a war can't be won by one person, and the magical world deserves the right to fight for its own freedom instead of relying on children.
Series TW:
Before chapter 37 there is very little violence. However, the violent scenes begin to build from there as the war draws close. As of December 2023, Chapter 86, I changed the rating from T to M as the rest of the chapters will be entirely focused on the war. "I know a lot of words, I know all of them, actually," Sonic responds and uses his upper body strength to sit up without moving his legs. The hedgehog grabs one of the fox's tails and starts running his fingers through it. Tails only flinches a little when the hedgehog's thumb brushes over the scar at the base, "But that's not the point, you've been acting off ever since you and the kiddos had that talk. They were being nice to you, right?"
