After a disastrous accident that temporarily killed Amy, she finds herself saved by her now former enemies, Metal Sonic, Sage, and Dr. Eggman. However, Eggman had to transform her into a biomechanical organism to bring her back. In simpler terms: she's become a robot disguised as an organic person.
In the aftermath of the incident and her revival, Amy is left to ponder her now shattered worldview. Eggman, the tyrannical genius supervillain, just saved her life and gained nothing from it. Why would he not somehow take advantage of the situation? He... is actually evil, right? Why would Metal Sonic save her? Shouldn't he hate her? Shouldn't he have let her die?
