Mycroft has had some time. A lot of time, actually. He’s spent it thinking but thinking can only get one so far.

Post-Reichenbach. This has all been written before but I wanted to be a bit weepy and nothing makes me weep like a repentant Sherlock.

Set a few years in the future.
Inspired by all of those Twitter images of Mr. C holding babies. The title is from the song "Summer Begs" by Sarah Jaffe.

Summary:
During the events of His Last Vow, John has sex with Mycroft seven times. He’s not gay, but this isn’t sex, it’s a release. An exhale...Wish there was more
They spend the next couple of hours like that. Intertwining, then letting go. Meeting, accidentally, sometimes willingly. John has the strong sense of Mycroft’s knees pressed to his back for a while, but he drifts and suddenly they’re gone. Later he turns around lazily, for a moment forgetting that someone is next to him, and crashes his face right on Mycroft’s sharp shoulder blade.

Greg Lestrade had always been a good man. His goodness was known to be taken advantage, mostly by those he loved. And he was a man who loved desperately.
Mycroft wanted that. But, when it matter the most, he was indecisive.

In spite of all the danger
By Canon_Is_RelativeDescription:
What happens when the term "flat mate" is no longer adequate?Case fic interspersed with epistolary installments and character studies.
Notes:
These are my own sequels to BBC's Sherlock series one, started before series two aired and consequently AU as of January 2011. (That is to say, Moffat and I go our separate ways after The great Game.)I set out to explore how a romantic relationship between an asexual Sherlock Holmes and heterosexual John Watson might come about and progress. My goal is to stay as true to the portrayal of John and Sherlock in series one as possible, and I draw heavily from ACD canon.

All the Best and Brightest Creatures
wordstrings"Go into your mind palace." Sherlock has never seen John look like this, like he is delivering a dying wish, and John can't be doing that, not that, he can't. "You can't move. I can't free you. I can't get close enough, and I can't get this buggering trap off my leg. He locked it somehow, knowing I'd pry it loose otherwise. If this is your punishment for half starving? We're not sticking around for seconds. I need him to relax when he comes back, enough for me to do the only thing I can think of, and I'm afraid he's going to either hurt you or hurt me first, very badly, so I want you to keep him talking. You're going to distract him with your nasty jokes and quips and sweet talk and sarcasm and take the piss from inside the palace, all right? I need you to go deep enough that you can do this for me, and we can go home."
