Zeldris tried not to let out a sob, his brother was casually looking at him as though nothing was wrong because of course, he did. Meliodas carefully raised both of his arms and pulled Zeldris into them. This time Zeldris really did start crying, horribly, betraying tears that ran down his face. He hides his face in his brother's shoulders, hides the tears, hides the fear that he had. He tries to act like he's not crying at all and just begrudgingly hugging his older brother.

Behind him, the bathtub drain begins to croak and gurgle, bubbling out black tar and then sucking it back down like a black hole. Nico stares at it in horror for only a moment, before it sucks the air in his lungs, and then the whole bathtub, down the drain.
He has the cold, impending feeling of doom that tells him this bathtub will take him straight to Tartarus again. This is what you get for leaving coke residue on Ms. Jackson’s countertops, he thinks.
