Walking. The two of them were walking somewhere unknown – Valentino wasn’t talking – and Angel was too afraid to speak up. He didn’t know if he would get a too-possessive hug with faux sweet apologies or clenched fists and angry shouts.

Deerborne seems like a perfectly average town, but every season, The Dragon’s Voice comes down the mountain to collect their sacrifices to The Dragon, who lives atop the mountain. Every winter, that sacrifice is human.
This year, that sacrifice is Alastor.
He’s taken up the mountain and told that The Dragon will be bringing him to a town on the far side called Hazbin, which is to be his new home.
But before he can make the journey to Hazbin, he will be spending time in The Dragon’s cave, alongside The Dragon’s Voice, who introduces himself as Lu. Although Alastor has never been inclined to seek out friendships, or any other relationship, there’s something about Lu that changes that.
