Summary
Octavius had a number of things he didn’t need in his life. This list included, for example: Jedediah’s incredibly annoying presence, a potentially life-threatening situation, and a range of truly confusing emotions.
When the museum opens a gift shop, it seems as though fate wants to check these things off, like a to-do list.
Jed was an adventurer, a fearless hero. God, he even put up with Octavius’s arrogance. And had been doing so for decades.
Being locked up in a box with him for a few hours shouldn’t, therefore, shake his entire worldview.Or: Through a series of unfortunate events, Jed and Octavius end up together in a box with no way out. Soon, they both find themselves lost somewhere amid the confusing feelings they have for each other.

Summary
When Jedediah and Octavius decided to jump off the vent of the British Museum to save themselves from the unknown thing that was chasing them, they had no idea they would end up stuck in the Pompeii diorama for days. At the very least, they thought someone would eventually come and save them.
Or: Jedediah and Octavius get stuck in Pompeii for five nights and have no one but each other to rely on. A forced proximity nightmare.
