    To begin it plainly, she had loved him.

    Or, at least, that is what she believed.

    It is easy to believe that one has had the wool pulled over their eyes, that the rose tint coloring their world made them into fools. That a poisonous and ruinous mixture had somehow been sneaked into them without their knowledge or consent. It is much easier, more comforting to believe this, rather than the likely truth that it had been a series of conscious choices. That a part of that person is poisonous and ruinous.

    Anora still is not sure which was the reality of her life before the Reichenbach Fall.

    It was impossible that Fanny’s spirits should be as high as his, but her felicity might well have surpassed his. She listened to him with tears of joy in her eyes and could not express her pride in his accomplishments nor her gratitude for this long-awaited promotion in terms warm enough to suit her feelings.

    William was jubilant. To Captain Marshall he had been a favourite in the way only a steady, dependable midshipman could be, but to Captain Linton he was a friend. Now at last he would be in the way to make his fortune. Never in his life had he felt such triumphant satisfaction and if only he would be granted an opportunity to introduce the Captain to his sister before they returned to sea, he would have nothing to wish for.

    Summary

    A series of stories exploring the dynamics among Grand Admiral Thrawn, Pellaeon, Covell, Parck, Niriz, Dorja, and other members of the Seventh Fleet. Legends cast in Rebels, a couple of OCs. Mix of Canon and Legends (Essentially AU).

    Author's Note: I started writing the series before Thrawn 2017 novel was released, therefore it follows the old ranking system, featuring my own take on the ISD Chimaera's duty roster. Certain events of the novel happen with a couple of major changes, most notably Eli Vanto's life taking the path he had originally intended for himself, meeting Thrawn much later in the series.

    The old Imperial Navy rank system: Ensign -> Lieutenant -> Lieutenant Commander -> Commander -> Captain -> Vice Admiral -> Admiral -> Fleet Admiral -> Grand Admiral
