Summary
Buck still hasn’t processed Bobby’s death or any of his own, complicated feeling about life. When a apartment building catches fire and Buck and Eddie split up Buck gets overwhelmed by the noise and the chaos of his job, he begins to shut down, getting trapped in the collapsing building.
Meanwhile Eddie and the rest of the 118 are trying to save him while Eddie’s trying to understand his own, chaotic feelings.
Can Eddie save the man he loves? And more importantly, can Buck hold on until then?
This is basically just angst with fluff at the end.

Eddie's jaw dropped. “Theo goes to me, not his sister Maddie?” Mabel points at the paper where Eddie should read.

Eddie sits, tears in his eyes, reading the paper. “ He’s not dead; he’s not been missing for more than 24 hours,” Eddie says, looking at Mabel.
