Summary
After a traumatic, cryptic pregnancy and delivery, Shane Hollander separates from Ilya, his family, and his team to move all the way across North America. In San Fransisco, Shane completely shatters with no supports as he feels out of control.
Meanwhile, Ilya decides to raise their baby with the help of their village. He misses Shane every single day, and it doesn't help that Eva looks so much like her dad. At least he takes to fatherhood like a duck to water.

So, Shane was a bit out of it when Jackie was all of a sudden violently shaking him at one in the morning. “Shane, Shane - you have to wake up.” He blinked rapidly for a few seconds, “M’up, m’up what’s going on? Is Ilya okay? Is it the kids?”
It was at this moment that Shane clocked that they were sitting in an apparent candy graveyard. That is, there were four or so chocolate candy wrappers of the full-sized nature, as well as an empty bag of what he thinks were gummy bears. He wasn’t entirely sure because it was hanging partially out of Anya’s mouth, who was wagging her tail proudly.
