This series is much less about sex than its predecessor, and much more about intergenerational trauma; fucked-up people trying sincerely to support each other; and our favorite Sith Lord slouching towards something that may or may not be redemption - whether or not his ruthless lover is able to follow him there.

(This was just weird porn when it started, and then it got out of hand. Now it's somehow a full-fledged villain romance, complete with soft moments, difficult feels, sand jokes, all the awkward logistical problems that naturally result from a disabled and traumatized Sith Lord trying to figure out how to relationship, and Vader being constantly extra about everything including kink. Canon Divergence AU beginning at TCW 4.04 “Shadow Warrior.” Inspired by Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier.
The Sith must adapt to new situations as they arise. When Padmé Amidala refuses Dooku’s offer of prisoner exchange — General Grievous for Anakin Skywalker — they choose to convert Anakin to the dark side a bit sooner than originally planned, against his will if necessary.
One year after Grievous’s demise and Anakin’s disappearance, a new threat now faces the Jedi Order: an assassin called Vader, who has no recollection of ever being one of their own.
