Places where nobody knows him. By Wufei’s hypothesis, when he was narrowing down the possibilities, he may as well have disappeared into the smaller asteroids ricocheting endlessly around the solar system, farther and farther for every orbit it makes.
“Where is he coming from?” Wherever it is, it’s probably some series of numbers and letters Wufei had never even seen in the Preventers’ extensive database—
“The Winner Hospital.”
“What?” That can’t be right.
Quatre offers a smile… what face is Wufei showing him that he has to put on that tender, comforting look for him? “He met an accident.”

Quatre likes to play with the fuzz on Trowa’s nape whenever they’re in bed, and that’s how he knows. “Isn’t it time to cut your hair?”
But Trowa only smiles, and that’s how Quatre knows that he’s embarrassed by the question. Thinking about it now, he realizes that Trowa’s been oddly self-conscious about his hair since they got together. Time and again, he would run his fingers along the length of his sweeping fringes, indecisive about how far off his nose he should wear them. Often, Quatre would catch him rehearsing his looks endlessly in front of the mirror, too.
“Why do you wear your hair like this?” He supposes it was just a matter of time before he had to ask the question.

And even though she’s home again and with familiar faces, sometimes she slips back down, and there’s nothing there for her to hold on to anymore.
So it’s a good thing her friends are there to hold on to her.
