Touya flicked ash onto stone, mouth curling slow, “Neither did I. Then again…” His eyes slid over Keigo, lazy and sharp, like a hand dragging over bare skin, “…some things are worth showing up for.”
Keigo’s breath caught, his throat working as his wings fluttered almost imperceptibly. He covered the soft chirp that escaped him with a forced laugh, “Flattery? From you? Pinch me, I’m dreaming.”
“Nah,” Touya pushed off the wall, closing the space between them, “You’re wide awake, pretty bird.”
