Summary
It's been almost thirty years since Shifty crawled out of the lab like a zombie rising from the grave, since Stanford Pines fell beyond their reach. Thirty years of almost nightly work on a portal that refused to obey their and Stan's commands, no matter what they did. Thirty years since the start of the Mystery Shack and Shifty's alter ego, the unlikeable co-manager of said Shack. Hope is starting to wear thin, and frustration is running high.
But when a pair of twins begin to stumble upon the mysteries of the town, there might be something left to find after, be they solutions or secrets. Secrets that might as easily destroy Shifty as they could save them.

Without meaning to, his gaze trails down Stanley's body. He went to sleep with only his boxers on, something Ford is quite used to seeing, but it has been more difficult lately. Usually, he forbids himself from looking for too long, too anxious that his staring will be noticed.
But now—now he can look. Ford can allow himself to gaze upon perfection, to study every aspect of Stanley's desirable, appealing, attractive body.

Ford goes entirely still, turning his head towards Stan and staring at him with wide eyes.
His brother remains in the same position, as if he never spoke at all, and his eyes do not give away even an ounce of his emotion.
Stan takes a deep breath and Ford begins holding his.“Or did I finally prove my worth to you?”
