“No, it’s just-” He gestured vaguely in her direction with an unidentifiable look on his face, something between pleased and surprised and reminiscent. Janet looked down at her dress, then back up at him, confused. Daniel just smiled. “Thank you.”
Janet sat up, almost preening. “You’re welcome.” Her eyes went steely. “I expect you to finish all of that,” she said firmly. “Doctor’s orders.”
