Summary
It’s just a ribbon.
Just a plain red ribbon, absolutely nothing special about it.
At least, that’s what Sans tries to tell himself as Frisk stares up at him, their expectant look slowly morphing into confusion while he sits there frozen.
(Or, the story of the Underground as it was and as it will become, spanning thirteen years, various timelines, multitudes of lives, and one very tired skeleton that just wants very desperately to go home.
In which Frisk isn't the first human child Sans meets, nor the first he befriends, nor the first he kills—and being Sans in general is complicated as all fuck.)

the first fic i ever read for undertale, this is such a sweeping epic with super creative worldbuilding for the underground as a whole and without a doubt my favourite non-malicious interpretation of gaster ever. i am going to hold on to the hope this will be updated one day to the end of time.

Summary
Phil has known so many versions of Dan across time, and he has loved them all in their own ways.
But none of them was this one: his Dan, sprawled beside him in a Las Vegas hotel room two weeks after his twenty-first birthday, who is sharp and unsure and sometimes infuriating, who gives hickeys to his older self and then pretends it was nothing. This one, tonight, is the one Phil loves most of all.
A canon-inspired time-travel AU featuring secrets, yearning, self-hatred, self-love, a three-way in Vegas, and Phil Lester's unwavering belief in the red string of fate.

He lived. So I lived.
And I watched.
What else is there to do, after all, when the city wins, when it separates you from the person you love the most, but to watch your little brother grow up? Even if he seems to be growing into a baby crime lord, how can you let him go on alone?
