The kiss ended, and Grace ran out of her dressing room and hid under the covers.
Titus climbed onto the bed and lifted the sheets. He chuckled. "What happened?" he frowned, hovering over her.
"You're evil," she blurted out. The words added more tension between them.
Titus raised an eyebrow, bemused. "Are you having a moment of moral clarity, Grace?" Titus's eyes seared at her, and all she could do was breathe and remain silent. Grace's heart raced in her chest as the question teased her.
The air became heavy with their breaths, his aftershave, and their combined heat. Her eyes lingered on his lips.
"We're gonna be late for work, Grace. Aren't we?"
