Summary
"Jimmy? Petal, can you hear me?" Jimmy seemed to be struggling to look at him, eyes sliding off his face before fighting back to meet his. His skin lacked warmth, too. He had always been like a fire next to Scott, burning bright and letting his warmth seep into them, but now he felt… cold. "Petal, I just need you to swallow this. Please, I need you to get better."
OR: Scott is immortal and Jimmy is painfully human. Emphasis on the painful. (And the human, I guess.)

Summary
The air suddenly became cold and Virion snapped his eyes open. There was a figure standing at the end of the alley, dressed in a pristine outfit despite his pale, withered flesh. He could feel Alphonz tense in his mind, ready to come to the front and fight the fiend in front of him. The figure had a small smile on his face, his head tilted downward and his eyebrows raised as he focused on Virion. He stopped leaning against the wall and faced the fiend, his hand hovering where the hilt of a sword would form at a moment's notice.
"Well, Virion Sol. I must say it's a pleasure to finally meet you. I've been watching you and the others you keep in your body for a few days now," the fiend said. The smile did not fade from his face as a sword formed on Virion's belt, armour appearing through the magic that bound the Greats to him as he drew his blade. He pointed it at the fiend, the tip of it hovering over his sternum. "Though, I would have hoped we could keep this conversation civil, if you wouldn't mind."
OR: Virion makes a deal to get home.

Summary
They left nothing behind but the dust, the rooms stripped of life, and the lone figure that had lived in its halls for less time than he had been dead in them. He remained, tethered there with no way out. He craved more often than not to be free from its halls, liberated from its prison. But that release never got any closer, always just beyond his fingertips no matter how far he reached.
He could never leave with them, could not know where they'd gone when they'd left his room to rot as his body did in a grave he could never visit. They would come and go, never for too long, never to stay. Always a new person, or couple, or family, but none that were willing to give him company. No matter how polite they were to their guide or how wide their smiles were when they left the house, there was never a good enough reason to stay.
OR
William Wisp is dead, a ghost, and lonely, then suddenly he's dead, a ghost, and not lonely.

Summary
She took a shaky breath as gave up on getting the door open and turned again to face the slobbering menace. There was no other way out of this. She gripped her dagger with both hands as if that might steady it as she shook and gave her best glare to the monster. She wouldn't die like this, a cowering mess begging for help that would never come.
Artemis wasn't the type to pray to the gods. She'd heard enough stories about the gods ignoring their children, abandoning them until they needed something for themselves. She knew that there was only slimmest chance to gain their blessing, but she needed every sliver of miracle she could get.
She closed her eyes and began to project her thoughts, I know you probably don't care about me, but I really need—
"Hey, Blondie, in here!" a voice yelled and Artemis' eyes snapped open, looking at the vent grate near the ceiling that she didn't remember seeing before. There was a boy with his head poking out the vent, looking a few years younger than her with sunglasses and dark hair hidden under a grey hoodie.
OR
Artemis is getting hunted by a hellhound and her saviour comes in the form of a prepubescent kid in a vent.

Summary
For the longest time, Roy believed he was normal. As normal as a kid with no mother could be, but that never bothered him. His dad would whisper to him as he fell asleep stories about nature and everything's place in it. He would tell him of the streams that cut hills into ravines. Of the way trees became homes for dozens of smaller animals, using their branches and their bark to protect them. Of how when the wind blew just right, you could hear the melody of it buffeting the leaves and whistle through cracks in the walls. Of how he was the perfect son, a gift from the gods.
Then one day, the stories stopped.
OR
How eleven-year-old Roy Harper found out he was a demigod, featuring a dead father, an angry chimera, and two green dudes that don't know how to deal with children.

To be a demigod is to court death from the moment you are born.
To be a demigod is to be a puppet of the gods.
To be a demigod is to spend every moment of your life wishing you weren't one.
But sometimes, to be a demigod is to find family in a strangers brought together by nothing but your own will. Maybe if you focus on that part, things won't turn out so bad.

Summary
Vyncent missed his world. He missed his mother and father, the Greats and just the familiarity of it all. But he’s stuck on this planet with so little magic in the middle of a dystopia. And he can’t help but feel guilty for it.
Dakota wanted to help people. Ever since the first reports of this plague came on the news, he had. But none of his heroes took him seriously or included him, despite saving people like they do. All he had to do was prove himself.
William regretted not dying. Now stuck with a stupid bite that got him sent away to die, he can’t help but wish he just would. But for whatever reason he’s still here, still himself. And he’d be damned if he didn’t find out why.
Ashe was alone. As far back as he could remember, it was just him and Mark, though he was always distant. But he had a power that could help everyone if he just had the opportunity to use it. All he needed was a chance.
Four teens put together by circumstance and stuck together by fate, all with their own motives and secrets to hide. Will they fight through the hardships and waves of zombies together, or will they tear each other apart from the inside?

Summary
But, right before he left, David called out to him.
“William.” The phone's receiver was covered by his hand. David looked tense, and sounded stern- the sort of tone that nobody but family was allowed to hear. “This isn't a mystery for you to solve. Don't be a hero. And do not get yourself involved.”
William was smart. He knew when to lie.
“Of course not, David.”

Coolcoolcool. Great fic, read up to chapter 15 in two (technically three) days and really liked all the characterisation and plot and blah blah blah. I should be alseep in bed right now but this is usually the situation I'm in when I finish the best fics, even if this is currently unfinished. I'm gonna be craving the final two chapters like Wiwi craves cigarettes. <3

Summary
It was reaping day.
William Wisp and Summer Dileo were the tributes representing district 3. And in just a few minutes, after they shook hands and parted ways, they'd have only minutes to tell their families goodbye before they were sent off to the Capitol.
And he knew, deep in his gut, that nobody was going to raise their hand, and volunteer to take their places.
Because why would they?
-
“District 3 isn't going to have a winner this year.” David said, and though his voice was cold, it was also strangely intense. “The mayor's daughter isn't getting past any of the career tributes- and you aren't making it past the first hour of the games. Don't you get that?”

Really cool, everything was cool, plenty of angst, a dash Ghostknife. I don't like publically bookmarking fics unless I really really like them. Very enjoyed writing man <3
