Coolcoolcool. Great fic, read up to chapter 15 in two (technically three) days and really liked all the characterisation and plot and blah blah blah. I should be alseep in bed right now but this is usually the situation I'm in when I finish the best fics, even if this is currently unfinished. I'm gonna be craving the final two chapters like Wiwi craves cigarettes. <3

This is very short but wow… Genuinely this might be one of the best things I’ve read in a while (maybe recency bias). The ending is very open and while I don’t typically enjoy those it really suits the story. Really great, would recommend to a friend <3

It looks as though it’s been ripped straight from a storybook and - if the tale he just read on the lectern, and the one from his early childhood, is to be believed - it pretty much is.

Prison never would've been Scott's vacation of choice. The food is bad, the clothes are hideous, and worst of all, he has very little time for his true passion: thievery. But now that he's newly free after three years, he has plans for something big, and he knows he can't do it alone.
Cleo is trying her best to be content. Her gang, the Crastle, is one of the most feared in the city and she has a decent stake in the city's illicit trade of magic. Things are good, if monotonous. But that might just change after she receives a visit from an old friend, and an offer she can't refuse.
Pearl swears up and down that her life isn't a mess. She finally has a normal job and normal friends, and she's only mildly paranoid. She also swore that she'd never do another heist again, but that was before Scott found her, and dragged her back into the past she wanted to leave behind.
One last job. That was the promise. How hard could it be?

Donnie knows he isn't the same as his brothers. That isn't a problem. He's fine being different, once he accepted being different. The thing is, he isn't sure they ever accepted it. And none of his tech accomodations can change the way they think. (Well, technically they can. Donnie tried that once and it did not work out.)
But after a particularly bad fight, Donnie decides that he's done. If his brothers can't work with him, he can work alone. Being a hero is the only thing he's ever needed to be. It's certainly easier than trying to be a brother. One forced to forgive and accept mistakes that are never really resolved. Why should he move on if they never learn? They only learn the hard way, and he knows it.
So he's going to make them learn.
