Summary
Mythical creatures were heavily favored everywhere in the world. It was near impossible for humans to work anywhere that didn’t only pay minimum wage and wasn’t a dead-end job.
Some humans, those who couldn’t get jobs at all, had the option to sell themselves into a multitude of heavily illegal markets. Businesses that would drain a human of most of their blood in order to feed vampires, let demons experiment with magic on them, have shapeshifters practice shifting by taking their form, or be hunted down by werewolves.
Even if all of those horrible practices and businesses were outlawed, it didn’t stop them from existing.
It was hard for humans to survive anymore.
Tommy was human, but nobody knew. Not a single soul knew that he was human and it was a secret that Tommy was sure he’d attempt to take to his grave.

Tommy is a human living in a world where only mythical creatures can succeed.
When Tommy is fostered by a new family, one mistake leads to his biggest secret being revealed and his hidden humanity accidentally taken from him. This leads him down a path to discovering the well-kept secrets of their society, while found family and healing begin in the aftermath.Series

Summary
Tommy looked at Wilbur nervously. He didn’t understand why, of all things, snow would make him panic so badly.
“…Wilbur?” Tommy said, his voice small. “What’s going on?”
Wilbur’s gaze sharpened and he took a deep, shaky breath. “We need to go. Tommy, we have to run, now.” He replied, practically running away from the window and throwing open the door to the tiny storage closet beside the couch.
“Wh-What?!” Tommy exclaimed, watching with wide eyes as Wilbur threw a leather backpack out of the closet. “What the fuck do you mean?!”
“I can’t explain. Not now.” Wilbur replied sternly, despite how his hands were still shaking. “You just have to trust me. We have to leave, as soon as possible.”
Tommy shook his head. “No, you- you don’t get to tell me we have to fucking leave our entire home behind and then not fucking explain!”

When it starts snowing in their village, Wilbur is forced to reveal a secret to Tommy, revealing how much danger exists within the magical blizzard.
Not long after, a not so unexpected visitor from a rival nation arrives. Despite how all logic says Phil should hate Tommy, instead he finds a home in the royal family.

Summary
When he carried out the familiar motions, nothing happened. The stone stayed put, perfectly in one piece.
“Fuck.” Tommy cursed under his breath. “This isn’t the time. You gotta be good for something, don’t waste all your studying.” He muttered, raising his hands and trying again.
Still, nothing happened.
With wide, surprised eyes, Tommy tried again and again, growing more frantic by the second. The spell wasn’t working. Worse yet, he couldn’t even feel his magic straining to escape, in the way it usually did when he was practicing. He couldn’t feel anything, not at all. The familiar buzzing was gone.
What the fuck was going on? Was his magic faulty? Was his new immune system faulty? Was Tommy faulty?
Fae weren’t supposed to get sick. Fae weren’t supposed to have no magic at all.

Tommy, a human newly turned into a fae, gets sick. His magic stops working as a result and he assumes he must be faulty.
Phil and Techno assure him that he’s wrong and that Tommy has a family who’s willing to help him whenever he needs it.

Summary
Techno’s eyes widened as he realized he was looking at a person, buried in the snow.
Without hesitation, he surged forward, beginning to dig snow away.
He unearthed their arms, both of which were covered by the sleeves of a threadbare red jacket that would’ve done little to keep the cold out.
Still not quite believing what he’d found, Techno pulled the snow away from the person’s face and stopped.
He was dreaming. This wasn’t real. Because if it was, it wouldn’t make any sense.
The person Techno found, buried in the snow, almost frozen to death, was Tommy.

Two years after Phoenix hybrid Techno accidentally hurt his brother, Tommy, who ran away as a result, Techno finds him nearly frozen to death in front of his cabin.
With no other options, Techno does his best to help his brother heal. And slowly, they begin to fix their tattered brotherhood.

Summary
Not only were all of Tommy’s hybrid features completely pointless, but he also couldn’t see color. Most bug hybrids couldn’t.
It was an unfortunate side effect some high percent hybrids had. That some of their senses would match those of their hybrid half.
So, while all of Tommy’s other senses were entirely human, his sight wasn’t.For his entire life, the world had been blanketed in shades of grey, black for the shadows, white for the light, and every shade in between. Completely monochrome, devoid of colors he didn’t know were missing until he was told they were.
It didn’t bother him. Most of the time.
He was used to it. It was commonplace for Tommy to be useless in any task consisting of knowing colors.
Sighing, he finished making the order for his current customer. Tommy turned around, placed the drink on the pickup counter and called her name.

Tommy is a moth hybrid who can’t see color. He’s been alone most of his life, after recently aging out of the foster system and getting a job at a cafe.
Until he meets Wilbur, who both makes him lose his job and gives Tommy a reason to want to live a life that isn’t monochrome.

“I got something on my face or some shit?” Tommy bit out at Wilbur, cutting Philza off with little care. He’d be lucky to get beaten by him right in front of Sam because then they’d finally fucking leave.
For a second he expected Wilbur not to respond, but then his eyes widened like he realized what he’d been doing before it was back to a blank stare. “Your face is all fucked up.” He said simply.
“Wilbur.” Philza hissed, and Tommy could see from the corner of his eye as Techno rapidly brought the book back up to his face.

Tommy is a notorious foster kid no one is sure what to do with. When Phil signs up to foster again, he wasn’t prepared for a kid to be dropped off on his doorstep so soon, one with that extensive of a record to his name. Techno and Wilbur do their best to be good (foster) brothers, but Tommy is a bit different than what they expected.
And Tommy just wants a break, but can't seem to catch one with the weird ass family he's being fostered by, and somewhere along the way begrudgingly starts to care.
