i am very much aware that the disastrous life of saiki k is a comedy and is not, in any way, supposed to be taken as seriously as i have taken it here. however, i have an unhealthy addiction to reading and writing angst and so i will be pinning that onto kaidou and kuboyasu. i’m not sorry

My continuation of the ending for Don't Let the Forest In
I loved this book so so so so so so so much! So here is how I choose to continue it
Since the book was left on an open ending, here is what I believe happened if the Forest's magic, and Andrews Heart is allowing the two to live, so long as they remain in the forest.
There may be bits and chapters that are of an alternate ending I have, where the notebook was truly the heart and the two boys runaway and live happy-ish

Summary
Somewhere along the way Kaido Shun had fallen into this childish fantasy driven persona. Years of pressure from home and being a burden on everyone had created a need for an escape, that's all it really was. Things started to look better once he met Saiki and the gang but the pressure never truly let up. When he and Kuboyasu Aren became friends things just clicked, and during moments when they were together nothing seemed to matter. Shun felt safe. However the ugly guilt and shame driven monster that is locked deep inside Shun never leaves.
