The sentiment strikes a pang of fear into Ace and when he looks at Rouge she offers no comfort, staring at him with the same aloof expression she’s had all his life. He had thought—He had thought she was just reserved, too cool to react. Now he’s seized by the fear that this might mean she’s just been… ambivalent to him this entire time.
Ace feels tears rolling down his cheeks, and it’s only because she isn’t real, that he lets her see them. “I’m your baby,” he says, choked up, “Mama, I’m your baby.”

Summary
Metroen ved den er god - den behøver skam ingen til at fortælle den det, selv hvis den ikke siger nej til god omtale, men den kan ikke lade være med at være imponeret over S-togets kapacitet. Metroen kører oftere, men S-toget har plads til flere, og kører meget længere. Ikke at Metroen nogensinde ville indrømme dette over for S-toget, når de nu engang imellem mødes på en station. De er måske ikke direkte modstandere, men det er tæt på, og Metroen har ikke tænkt sig at tabe…
S-toget ville ønske det kun handlede om at vinde over Metroen (og det gør det selvfølgelig også!), men det handler også om den varme S-toget mærker i alle strømkablerne når et af dens toge ender på samme station som en af Metroens vogne. Og S-toget ved at Metroen er præcis lige så besat af S-toget, som S-toget er af Metroen. De kunne virkelig varme nogle togspor godt op sammen, hvis bare S-toget kunne få dem på samme bane…
