Yes, nitroglycerin for sweat is fucking cool. Yes, blowing things up is way better than Deku's stupid punches or Candy Cane's cliché fire and ice thing. But it also—it also comes with downsides that Katsuki is going to take to his fucking grave, and they're currently being really, really fucking annoying.
Because when you mix glycerol, nitric, and sulfuric acid, you make something really, really cool, but you also make something really, really hot.
When Bakugou gets hit by Trigger during their work-study with Endeavor, everyone thinks he's going to destroy half the city. Shouto is the only one that knows that what's about to happen isn't nearly as bad for everyone else, but that it’s going to be much worse for Bakugou.

Summary
Knives walks straight backed across the desert sands, never wavering. Occasionally, he looks back to make sure Vash is following, and the image is so similar to their earliest years on this planet that it hurts to think about. It makes Knives look younger, less cruel. It tempts Vash into deception, into taking Knives’ hand again, allowing him to lead them through the endless dunes.
Then a body appears in their path, rotting and half-buried. Its hand is outstretched, frozen in death as it waits for salvation, and Vash banishes any thought of seeking comfort in Knives before the millions of dead humans begin their cries for help anew.
Why didn’t you stop him why did you fail why did you let us die why did this happen why why why why
Vash has to look away, drowning in guilt. Knives only curls his lip at the sight, as if looking at a particularly unappetizing meal.
They continue on. Vash doesn’t know where they’re going. It doesn’t matter anyways.
(knives wins and all humans die. knives does TOO much to try and keep vash alive and content in a planet populated by two).
