Summary
Harry is the personal assistant to the youngest Minister of Magic in history, and frankly, he's had enough. He has to cater to the man's every whim, from the smallest things like making him coffee and homemade lunch like he's his mother, to letting Tom have sex with him on his desk after a stressful day at work so the man doesn't go berserk and kill someone; seriously, he's not paid enough for this crap, they don't even have a formal romantic relationship!!!
So, like any exploited worker (and thanks to the perk of being a millionaire), he quits. The country erupts in less than a week.
Or, where the Minister of Magic, Tom Riddle (secretly Lord Voldemort), takes an entire country hostage to negotiate a marriage with his ex so he won't leave him again. (They never actually dated; that was just Tom's imagination.)

Summary
When a wizard turns seventeen, their soul mark manifests. Tom Riddle splits his soul twice and magic punishes him. He never gets his mark but he rises above it, like always. Soulmates are worthless to a highly accomplished wizard like him.
Magic does not punish Harry Potter. But Harry feels like it does. When he turns seventeen, he gets the Minister’s name on his wrist and assumes Tom doesn’t want him. Why else would Tom have ignored him all these years?
So Harry runs away to Puerto Rico. Eight years later, he returns to England convinced he can handle seeing Tom again.
He’s wrong.
Because Tom is looking this time, and he has no plans to look away. Harry might not be his soulmate, but he’s the one Tom wants to spend the rest of his life with. Now if only he can get Harry to want him back.

One touch of the fully developed mark reveals your soulmate's name in your mind. When Harry's soulmate mark blooms upon reaching the age of fifteen, however, he is confused. When he realizes his soulmate is the newly resurrected Voldemort, he must decide what to do next. Does he tell anyone? What will Voldemort do? Between increasingly odd dreams, his scar burning with Voldemort's emotions, the Ministry taking over Hogwarts, and Umbridge's attempts to manipulate him while Dumbledore ignores him, Harry tries not to spiral whilst awaiting an inevitable confrontation between him and his soulmate. After all, if there is one thing Harry knows about Voldemort, it is that the Dark Lord will never allow him peace.

Harry Potter was forty years old, a father of three, and on top of the world... only to wake up one morning in his childhood cupboard - though, not exactly in his own childhood. Trapped in an alternate universe where his parents are alive, he was abandoned to the Dursleys anyway, and everyone's calling his brother "The Boy Who Lived" (despite all evidence to the contrary), Harry just wants to escape the drama and figure out how to go home. But between a spoiled bully for a father, a brother raised to think he's the messiah, a sister who hates him, a mother who's suspicious of him, and the downright weird divergences this timeline has taken, that's easier said then done.
Oh, and Voldemort's there too.
