Michael woke up, unable to move or breathe. It felt like something was sitting on his chest.
“I missed you,” cooed David. Michael’s stomach roiled, and for a second his face felt so hot his eyes watered. This was a particularly mean dream.
David picked up Michael’s hand and brought it in front of his own face, stretching each finger, comparing the sizes of their palms. “Did you miss me?”
