It wasn't easy yet. Jack didn’t know if it ever would be between the two of them. Some days, it was still all they could do to not set each other careening into fight or flight. We make quite a pair, Jack thought sometimes: two matched collections of accumulated scar tissue. On bad days, he could read the old insecurities in the deepened creases between Robby’s brows. But now, Robby at least tried to let him in, painfully cracked open his mouth and let a few of his worries escape, trusting the light of Jack's patient affection to chase them away.

“Are you scared or something?” Jack let out a short, incredulous laugh, but the sound died in his throat the second he caught the look on Robby’s face. The smile vanished. “Wait...you were scared? What for, man? It’s not like you’re a virgin.”
“For sure,” Robby muttered dismissively. He reached up to scratch at his neck, pulling at his shirt again. The room suddenly felt five degrees hotter, his clothes way too tight.
“Are you...wait, are you a virgin?” Jack searched his face, sounding bewildered, like Robby was playing some kind of elaborate joke on him.

Short dark hair, a thick salt and pepper beard, long strong legs and to top it all off his chosen look for this year’s Pittsburgh Pride is a simple pair of jeans and a black FREE DAD HUGS t-shirt with a very sturdy looking leather vest on top.
Dennis feels drool pool into his mouth that has nothing to do with the day’s sunshine.
“God, Trinity.” He whispers, eyes raking over the visible coarse hair covering his forearms and the peak of tattoos on his biceps. Robby shifts on his feet and the curve of a belly illuminates his profile underneath the leather. Dennis thinks he may faint. “You never said he was so hot.”
