“Have you seen Bruce recently?” Dick asks one night.“Haven’t seen Bruce since the last time I saw you,” Jason responds. He can feel the weight of Tim’s eyes on him though, and it’s grating. “WHAT, Tim?”
“You saw him last night,” Tim responds after a moment, flicking his eyes towards Dick. “Literally last night, man.”
“Yeah,” Jason responds without thinking, because he hasn’t slept in 58 hours, “I saw Batman last night. I haven’t seen Bruce in a month.”
For a moment, there’s complete silence. And then, in an exasperated whisper, Dick says: “what the fuck, Jay?”
OR:
Jason picks up a little bit more from Bruce than he means to as Robin. It doesn’t go away, not even when he’s Hood.
OR:
Jason watches Bruce. Tim watches Jason. Dick watches Tim. They all need therapy.

Summary
It's the first winter after Pitch's defeat. Jack is happy, he's not alone anymore, and his memories are gradually returning. But when a treasure hunt gone wrong puts Jack and Jamie in danger, flinging them through time and space, they find themselves on an island neither of them have heard of before. Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.
Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.

So I read this fic while it was still being updated like over half a decade ago but some fanart for it has randomly been showing up on my tumblr which made me wanna reread it again and then rereading it again i was hit in the goddamn face with the feels agAIN the love i had for this fandom is surging back in waves i am on my knees sobbing right now i love this fic what the fuck
aka the best slowburn hijack fic in existence, so masterfully written, fully flushed out characters, plot, and truly one of the best written fics ive ever read in my life

Operation Guard Dog was when an ANBU changed places with the asset to provide the asset with an additional layer of identity security. It was rarely used because it required that the asset be skilled enough to pass off as ANBU and the need to protect their identity outweigh the dangers of masquerading as ANBU.
It was fortunate that Minato-sensei had insisted on wearing the ANBU uniform, Kakashi thought to himself.

one of my fav crossovers to ever exist ugh the ocs in here are phenomenal its really easy to get a sense of who is who even without any names/minimal descriptions because their characters are built very well + dynamics in their team are very good :') also im currently starving for anbu!kakashi and this is perfect — causally traumatized kakashi and delving into his mentality from different povs, superb dynamics and conflicts created from different morality due to different worlds, great worldbuilding and character building + analysis — cannot WAIT to see where this goes
