Drew could tell Jake that he didn't take chances with people. Life was too short, yet he couldn’t bring himself to just go for it. He wasn’t able to trust anymore, not even enough to let someone in as a friend—let alone as a partner. He wasn’t as bitter now as he had been in his teens, but he felt even more unreachable.
He could confess how much he craved affection—he did. Yet even the mere thought of someone caring made him sick to his stomach.
It's easier to try and solve what's going on in the apartment above Drew's than debate whether the now-famous lead vocalist Jake Sterling just asked him on a date or not.
