“I kinda feel like your worm is my rain,” Ron says gently. “I’ll help ya keep looking, but I don’t think that it’s the worm. You’re digging for something else, maybe. Something about you ya think ya lost.” He takes one of Kieren’s slack hands between his own. “I’d like to help you find it.”
Everyday while working his shift at the Publix deli counter, Ron sees a muddy, forlorn looking boy. He makes it his mission to know and take care of him, even if it means he has to dig up a few worms along the way.

The next thing Ryan knew, he was sitting on a chair and holding a boy's hand. He stared, his eyes roaming at the brown-haired male in front of him. He looked just as disturbed as him, his brown eyes blown wide and his mouth slightly agape.
He looked cute, Ryan thought.
"Say it!"
"Come on, Naim, don't tell me you're chickening out now!"
"Shut the fuck up, Hunter!" the boy, Naim, exclaimed. His disturbed look turned into a playful one, briefly looking away from Ryan to shoot a glare at his side.
It was there where the blond realized that they were not alone. However, he kept his gaze at the male in front of him, the warm sensation of their joined hands quickly becoming addicting to him.
Naim's eyes returned to Ryan. With a smirk, he spoke the words:
"I let you in."
