“So what have you been up to this weekend?”
“Family picnic,” Peter says.
“Oh, great, great fun,” Tony says and swipes away from the article about Spider-Man wrestling a giant spider on the roof of the Chrysler building.
It’s quite obvious that Tony knows he is Spider-Man, but decided not to acknowledge it; decided to keep the secret going. For what reason, Peter doesn’t know. Maybe Tony thinks he can use the information in his favor, or maybe he just doesn’t want Peter to freak out. Either way, it serves Peter just fine, because Tony tries so hard to keep up his oblivious act that he never prods too hard or looks too deep.
Which means all of Peter’s far bigger secrets are still safe. -

Summary
A story about coffee, carjackers, and co-dad management.
Spider-Man is unpredictable and chaotic, never says no to free food and seems to spend most his time directing traffic. This rookie is in desperate need of a chaperone. And Tony doesn’t want to do it, but he’ll bear the burden as gracefully as he always does.
Local teen Peter Parker never wears warm enough clothes, and can’t always sleep at home for reasons he refuses to go into. So if the Avengers really expect Sam to join their hippie-commune-cult, someone is going to have to look after this kid for him. -

“That’s an exceedingly verbose way to say ‘I was a fucking dumbass’.”
Peter laughs. He rolls his head to the side to smile at Tony. “You know, Mr. Stark. I thought you were gonna be way more upset about all this.”
“It’s been a long day,” Tony says.

Summary
Every evening when May stumbles in after a twelve-hour shift, she looks more tired than the day before, and their overdue bills are piling up. When Peter became Spider-Man, he had promised himself to be responsible. No stupid teenager stuff. He was going to be mature, damn it. And rule number two, after ‘being mature’ was ‘make things easier for aunt May’.
And then Mr. Stark gives him a gift that just makes everything more complicated.
