Charlie is being watched.
Every time he thinks he's alone, there he is, Carlisle Cullen popping in to check on him like he has absolutely nothing better to do.
"Just checking your vitals," he'd explain away with that calm doctor smile of his, but it was starting to feel like he was worried Charlie would jump out of bed and dash out of the hospital if he didn't make sure he was still there.
Charlie would always reply with the same sense of weary malaise, a tired, "Alright," or "By all means."
Then Carlisle would leave.
And somehow he'd always come back.
As the days blurred together and the hours passed, Charlie found himself liking the attention.

Set about ten years before BG3’s events, Cazador’s ritual is still in the lengthy preparation stages, and none of his ‘children’ have the necessary scars yet. They are, however, already tasked with securing targets for their master and luring them back to the palace. Astarion meets Sir Loriel, a wealthy half-drow new in to Baldur’s Gate, at one of Cazador’s numerous gatherings, and there is mutual attraction. This story is about how they navigate their relationship and exactly what that relationship is, in the context of their various constraints, needs and vices.
This was initially intended as a loose plot just to hold a bunch of kinky smut scenes together. But it’s grown legs. Expect the spicy stuff to appear early ish and grow in intensity/extremity, and in perhaps unlikely circumstances (leave your disbelief at the door, please; don’t need none of that here! Lol), and please bear with the plot exposition :)
Lastly, do note the tags if there are things you’d prefer not to see. I will flag warnings in the notes at the start of each chapter. First chapter doesn't need them, but smut and non-con/violence start in the second.

Kol copes with life by having a required best friend/babysitter. Elena doesn't have her spark taken at season 3 only to be shoved into a foil role for drama. Some times things are better, sometimes they will be so much worse.
