Instead of being squished between two Men-in-Black like most times before, Grace was in the backseat with Stratt, separated from the rest of the car by a rectangular black glass divider thingy.
Perhaps she wanted to verify the soundness of his sanity after he rambled about death, the space-time continuum, and put to question the meaning of life? Hm. That was quite possible. Though, it could also be because he hit her with, “Astrophage is mainly water,” afterwards, and then, “I just know,” as the reasoning behind it. But he was just a time-looping scientist, okay? Not some cool agent from a spy movie.

Not all of the iterations were spent on Hail Mary, though - sometimes he remained a teacher, sometimes he stayed on Earth. But they all ended in death. Earth was never saved. The job hunt wasn’t easy, no one really wanted to hire a teenager with no experience and most of the jobs were shit he wouldn’t do. For most of them the hours just didn’t work for him. He spent the better half of a week anxiously searching, thinking about reaching back out to Emilio—who would likely kick his ass for trying to get the job back after blowing it off—till he found it. It had the perfect hours for him and the pay was better than he could hope for.

“So,” Cell said to himself, holding his hand to his chin. It was an odd experience, that; his face was encased in a chitinous helmet that still had sensation, and touching it was kinda freaking him out. That, and the fact he was sitting in a fighting ring he’d only encountered before in a shounen. THE shounen, it could be argued. “I’m a bug-man now.”
He stared at the stone beneath him, considering the various decisions he’d made in life that led to this moment. He couldn’t really think of any at the moment, considering his memories were concerningly hazy regarding the time between a normal morning and waking up in the body of Perfect fucking Cell, but he was sure it went wrong at some point.
When he'd died, probably, or when he'd gone to sleep. That was typically how these things went, even if he didn't exactly remember doing either of those.

The stars were dying and the sun was failing them with nothing to suggest why it was happening, and they needed help.

The Anzellans' sun is dying and the Jedi council are called upon for help. Ahsoka is sent on a mission to the unknown regions of space to hunt down an answer. The Patrova lines have been stopped before, and the answers lie on a planet no one in the galaxy has ever tried to find before.
Ryland Grace has made a comfortable life for himself on Erid. Things are finally peaceful, until a ragtag group of strangers from a galaxy far far away turn up.
