Genshin modern college AU centered around Dottolone perhaps... Dottore's (Zandik) definitely studying the sciences, and Pantalone is studying accounting and finance. They get partnered for a project in a shared class and start out butting heads. Pantalone is a bit of a flirt and social butterfly, Zandik's introverted and might have some emotional issues to work out. When the romantic things start, they might be a bit messy; it won't be super linear or intense immediately.
Still based in places in Genshin, like Teyvat, but has the modern aspects of the real world in place of the magic of Genshin.

Takuto took a deep breath through gritted teeth as he rolled down his windows and stepped on the accelerator, bracing himself for what was to come. There was no way his passenger would hold out until they arrived at their destination. He clearly had too much to drink and all the contents of his stomach would inevitably come out, and Takuto knew deep down that the price for his ride wouldn’t pay for a professional cleaning. He'd have to get home and clean it himself before his next shift… assuming that he'd be able to rid the taxi of the stench.
The client started gagging in the backseat. Takuto’s heart sank, and in that fleeting moment of dread, he resented the Phantom Thieves.

Her solution? Studying romantic social cues and flirting techniques. The textbook? Romance novels.
Well, it can't hurt to try, and anything Shane tries, he tries thoroughly. Maybe a little too thoroughly? He didn't expect for his book reviews to pick up a following, and he DEFINITELY didn't expect to become the (secret, anonymous) face of "allyship" in the MLH.
He's not complaining, though. The books resonate with him more than he ever could have predicted, even if the hockey is unrealistic as shit, and maybe he'll learn a thing or two along the way. (About healthy relationships, communication, and emotional intelligence. Not any of the OTHER things you'll find in a hockey romance. Nope. Not at all...)
